The British Orthodontic Society has become very aware of the stress and difficulties facing many of it’s members. The BOS has decided to put in place some measures to help support their colleagues during these challenging times.
One of these measures was a free legal helpline which was set up last November to enable BOS members to obtain free specialist legal advice: 0208 166 5829
The helpline would provide it’s members with half an hour free advice from a specialist lawyer with the opportunity to access further advice at a discounted rate (£150 per hour plus VAT).
The helpline would be open to all BOS members and would cover a wide range of issues which would include; employment law (TUPE issues / practice mergers, sickness issues, whistleblowing claims), HR Issues, internal Investigatory / disciplinary issues, partnership / expense sharing partner disputes, and debt recovery (unpaid fees or holiday pay).
When calling the helpline, it will ask for your BOS membership number and an email address. A solicitor will then email the terms of the helpline and arrange a time for a return call. A copy of the helplines terms and conditions will be available on request.
The British Orthodontic Society encourages contact should any of it’s members feel that the service could be of benefit to them.
