New Housing Hub to help staff with housing challenges and underlying issues
Are you experiencing issues with housing or have questions relating to your housing situation? Perhaps you are in a difficult situation and don’t know where to get help and advice?
A number of Housing Hub Officers are now in place across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to offer advice and hands-on support. They are working closely with NHS and local authority colleagues, housing associations, estate agents, and many other partners to find suitable and affordable solutions to housing issues and support throughout the whole process of renting or buying a property.
The Housing Hub is run in collaboration with Citizens Advice Hampshire to ensure staff get the right information and support. Dedicated Citizens Advice advisors will also be able to support with underlying issues such as paying bills, benefits, or relationship issues.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System has developed the Housing Hub to support international staff and new international recruits with getting settled into suitable and affordable accommodation. It is part of a system-wide programme looking at a range of measures and potential solutions to the cost-of-living crisis and is hoped to be available to all staff in the future.
