Leadership circles: Set the emotional tone
Challenging or intense periods require us to make decisions which may have far-reaching consequences in emotionally draining circumstances. Leaders with high emotional intelligence (‘EQ’) have a mix of emotional and social skills that allow them to do this well.
This does not mean they are unaffected by the emotional needs on display around them; rather, they are able to interpret and work with that emotional information, allowing them to manage difficult situations and often to see opportunities that others miss.
Whether you manage one person or a team of people, leadership circles provide a space for people managers at all levels to come together, share their experiences, be heard and work through complex challenges.
