SENT ON BEHALF OF PRIMARY AND COMMUNITY TRANFORMATION AND IMPROVEMENT TEAM, NHS ENGLAND, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER’S DIRECTORATE
The NHS England EDI Policy team, with support from Claire Fuller (Medical Director of Primary Care) and Navina Evans (Chief Workforce, Training and Education Officer), are developing a bespoke EDI improvement plan for primary care. This includes all four sectors (general practice, dentistry, optometry, and pharmacy). Claire and her team are inviting colleagues from various roles in primary care to explore what they would like to see from the plan and how impact could be measured.
NHS Elect have been supporting NHS England over Q3 to collate staff feedback through listening events and a survey. All listening events have taken place, and this is now the last call for feedback via the survey, which will close on 3rd January 2025.
Feedback so far has largely come from the area of general practice, with a much lower amount of feedback received from dental and community pharmacy and little to no feedback from optometry. We are keen to ensure that all areas of Primary Care have had the opportunity to feed into the development of the EDI implementation plan for Primary Care. Therefore, please could we ask for your help in sharing the link to the survey below with your colleagues and networks and encouraging completion by the deadline of 3rd January 2025.
Who is this survey for?
This survey is open to anyone who works in a primary care role in the NHS in England. This includes those in both clinical and non clinical roles, and includes colleagues from across all four sectors (general practice, dentistry, optometry and pharmacy).
