Registration for year one of the dental quality improvement (QI) programme is now open.
Eligible dental practices who want to participate in 2026/27 are required to sign up via the contract management and payment system (Compass) by 6pm on Friday 8 May 2026.
Guidance on how to register is available on the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) website. Registration is on an annual basis. Dental contractors cannot join part way through a year and will be unable to register after the deadline date. Further information about the QI programme, including eligibility, contractual requirements and year one topic guide, can be found on NHS England’s website.
The Chief Dental Officer held a webinar last week on the NHS dentistry quality and payment contractual reforms. The focus was on the new QI programme, specifically for contactors who are considering participating. Watch the recording.
