From the latest Primary Care Bulletin, Re-processing of dental unscheduled care and care pathway claims:
Following the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration (DDRB) uplift in June, the tariff payments for unscheduled care activity have been updated. To ensure reporting for contractors and ICBs correctly reflects the updated tariff, all unscheduled care claims submitted between 1 April and 31 August 2026 will be reprocessed in Compass. All care pathway declarations will be re-processed to account for any changes to the monetary value of a Unit of Dental Activity (UDA) made, as a result of corrections to Compass service lines.
This will appear as a deduction of the previously credited UDAs and an addition of the re-calculated UDAs in the September pay schedules and be reflected in electronic eDEN reports. No action is required from ICBs or contractors.
