Thank you to teams following global IT outage
The recent unexpected global IT outage had a major impact across the NHS, with general practice and community pharmacy teams particularly affected. The NHS worked closely with suppliers over the weekend to bring systems back online by Monday.
Supporting frontline NHS: the role of practitioner action plans
NHS Resolution’s Practitioner Performance Advice service has published a new Insights paper focused on the individual experiences of practitioners using professional support and remediation action plans, and key staff within organisations, responsible for managing and supporting such plans.
Mental health crises: how to improve care
At a recent National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Evidence webinar on care for adults in mental health crisis, research findings were shared on:
- what works in community crisis care
- how acute day units compare to crisis resolution teams
- whether peer-supported self-management can reduce acute readmissions
