On behalf of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Dental Committee it gives me great pleasure to introduce Hampshire dentists to our new proactive website.
The committee hopes that this new online communication resource will help to ensure that our constituent dentists in Wessex are kept up to date with current developments, associated news and easy access to any other supportive publications, useful documents and relevant referral pathways/forms.
We have endeavoured to provide a hand-held device friendly online hub with appropriate links to a large number of organizations that are pertinent to dental representative status requirements and also give added value to our LDC constituents in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We have streamlined the new website to reduce the number of clicks necessary to navigate the site’s pages so that you can easily access the information that you require.
The new website has by design, avoided holding the plethora of core clinical governance publications that need to be constantly updated and especially as practitioners can readily access these through Google or other search engines.
The website will hold notices and postings for LDC meetings, our CPD events and any directly related draft and final publications such as agendas and minutes. The website will, in effect replace our previous paper newsletters and facilitate communication of the latest dental news and information.
We hope that you find that this website gives you the added informative value that you need and peer support in a rapidly developing and complex dental service arena.
