A hate Crime! Make sure you know how to report it
A hate crime? Wondering “How do I report?” or “When do I report?” This has been a recurring question over the past few weeks. As Trusts they have a zero tolerance on any hate crime, violence or abuse from staff or patients to others and if this occurs within your service, it is imperative you report it.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their feedback on some of the current issues you have experienced in regards to reporting an incident related to hate crime; H&IOW Wellbeing has listened to your concerns and have taken action.
They have created a booklet to help you understand what qualifies as a hate crime or hate incident, where to report it, and how to seek support and assistance. You can download and print the booklet here:
(please amend the links so that they are relevant to your Trust)
Please share this with your teams and colleagues and keep it somewhere that staff can easily access it. Remember, anyone can report a hate crime—whether you experience this or you witness another person experiencing this.
