DHSC have made an announcement today about the national supervised Toothbrushing Programme.
Details on supervised toothbrushing are available here:
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/supervised-toothbrushing-for-children-to-prevent-tooth-decay .
The document states that this will be a:
“National programme rolled out for 3 to 5-year-olds in early years settings – including nurseries and primary schools – in most deprived areas of England”.
Currently there are no lists available as yet about which areas will be included.
More details are hoped for as to the locations and timeline.
If any areas receive information about being included within this national scheme, Public Health/Dental Public Health would be grateful if you would inform Jeyanthi John and RCDO, Dr Shab Shivji.
