We hold 6 individual main LDC meetings throughout the year and Observers are encouraged to apply to the Secretary to attend. Many of the LDC meetings have invited speakers so have a look at the draft agendas posted on our website. Separate evening and the occasional daytime ‘hands on’ CPD based events are held throughout the year. We endeavour to hold non-core CPD events and also appreciate request input and feedback from our constituents. We especially would like to make contact with those practitioners at the beginning of their careers in dentistry.

Learning and Peer Support:
The H&IOW LDC holds a series of non-core CPD events throughout the year and in collaboration with Health Education England provides support for dentists in difficulty (DIDs). Some LDC members are trained mentors, coach/mentors and the LDC operates its own version of PASS called WISDOM (Working In Partnership to Support Dentists by Offering Advice and Mentoring).
